Family Love and Smiles

Now that all of the Christmas cards have been received and I won't be spoiling any surprises, I am excited to share these photos with you.

I have known Megan for many years, and capturing her special moments has meant so much to me... whether it was of her competing in an athletic mud run, her saying "I do" to the man of her dreams, or her family photos with her husband and daughters.  Megan always shines, and when she is surrounded by those she loves the most... well, it spills over and everyone is smiling.

It's always my pleasure, Megan, to be a small part of your life. Thank you and much love!!!!

And -- of course -- the bubbly Megan wanted to have an "ugly sweater" family photo taken.  Obviously, Madason isn't too fond of the fashion choices, lol.

The Fabulous Miss Ruby . . .

Today I have the honor to share one of the sweetest families I know:  Nycole, Christie and the fabulous Miss Ruby.
Capturing the love and tenderness they share together was so much fun for me.  They were always smiling, hugging, kissing and laughing.  As you will be able to tell, Miss Ruby stole the show.  She is an amazing, little doll, who has the personality to light an entire valley.  If we lived in a foreign country, I swear she would become a princess someday because she has all of the moves and poise to carry it off...even in a field of wild flowers.

Thank you for an amazing evening in the wilderness... I can't wait 'til next year!
Happy Holidays, my dear friends!

Behind and in front of the camera

As a photographer, for years I have had the opportunity to photograph couples in love whether it is for their engagement, wedding or family photos.  Finally, I was able to shoot a few of these photos for myself, lol.  It was a bit of a challenge, but I think they turned out pretty cute considering we had to pose in front of a mirror prior to our shoot...  I needed to figure out composition before getting in front of the camera.  My partner's favorite joke is that she's going to bring a cardboard stand-in for me so I can shoot our wedding.  Not a bad idea; however, on our special day, I will gladly pass the torch to a super talented guy and just enjoy the moment versus shooting it :D

Celebrating 20 Years of Marriage

I've known Rebecca and Tom for years.  In fact, they used to call me their "stalker" because every time I was on an assignment, I would run into them.  Of course, they are such an adorable couple, I had to photograph them.  Well, this month they celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.  As part of Rebecca's gift to Tom, she wanted to create a coffee table book of photographs in celebration of their life together and their beautiful daughter, Mary.  We had an amazing time finding ways to illustrate Rebecca's love for Tom.  In addition, in the near future, they are taking a family trip to Ireland to enjoy Tom's lineage... So, of course, Rebecca orchestrated a very creative theme during our session.  As you can imagine, this was one of my favorite shoots this season.

My dear friends -- Rebecca, Tom and Mary -- congratulations to you!!!  You are an inspiration to all of us, and I am grateful to share a tiny bit in your celebration.

Much love...
