Sonja Turns Two

As a photographer, there's nothing like finishing a day's work, looking at the photos and falling in love with the images you captured.  However, it's another thing when your clients see the images for the first time and you hear how much they loved the photos.  That touches my heart.  I am honored and grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph this adorable family since their baby, Sonja, was born and to share them with each of you!  I hope they bring everyone a few smiles today.

Thank you, Laine and Josh.  Now I can't wait for your new little bundle to arrive!

Cassie + Brandon = Love

Today I am excited to share Cassie and Brandon's beautiful destination wedding at Mandalay Bay Resort! After spending a few wild and party-filled days and nights with their best friends on the Las Vegas Strip, the entourage of 12 gorgeous women and handsome men from different areas of the country joined the couple by their sides as they tied the knot.

Although, Brandon and his men are avid hunters in the wilderness of Wisconsin, this definitely was not a "shotgun" wedding. Brandon's love for Cassie showed all over his face as he glanced at his gorgeous wife-to-be.

We started the afternoon in a packed hotel room as Cassie got all dolled up. Her bridesmaids did a fabulous job with her hair and makeup.

One of the most touching moments, as she was getting ready, is when Cassie saw her dad for the first time in her life in a tuxedo. The tears began to flow, even a bit behind my camera.

Breaking wedding tradition, Cassie and Brandon decided to share an intimate moment for their first look before their ceremony. Cassie enjoyed a little bit of flirting with her man before she removed his camo blindfold. Of course, her hunter had to have a touch of camouflage included in their special day. Wait 'til you see the grooms' vests... they're awesome, just sayin'!

Joined by their friends, the swag and laughter came out as they celebrated prior to the ceremony.

The day was fabulous and concluded with a twinkle-lit ceremony on the patio of the Border Grill and dancing
under the stars.

Cassie and Brandon, I'm so happy for you and was honored to share in your special day!
